Rasha Jones (They/She)
Who Am I?
I’m a nurodivergent, multi-mixed raced first generation migrant.
I enjoy spending time in nature, community activism, reading, playing switch, watching films and anime, carpentry, cooking, gardening and spending time with my loved ones and furr babies.
I love to deep dive into anime, films, music, martial arts, politics, philosophy, world history, indigenous agriculture and handcrafts.
My area of Specialisation:
I’ve worked with a range adolescents across the world as an educator, group facilitator and peer worker for over 10 years.
I currently specialise in complex trauma-and-violence-informed psychotherapy focusing on pro-collective liberation and anti-oppressive practices.
I am also trained in somatic therapies such as evidence-based emotional freedom technique (EB-EFT or tapping).
I am passionate about with Blak, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC), neurodivergent adolescents and adults as well as all members of the LGBTQUIASB+ community.
What to expect?
I aim to provide and accountable safe space for individuals to express themselves and assert their needs in order to meet your therapeutic goals. I counsel
with a strong focus on psycho-education/consciousness raising to empower folks in their understanding of themselves in order to self-actualise.
I have worked with individuals labelled as at risk or disabled by society. I am queer and trans affirming, neuroaffirming, pro-collective liberation, anti-oppression and anti-racist. I have an adept understanding of structural oppression, intersectionality and the systemic barriers that can in turn make it difficult to gain access, resources and motivation to seek out, feel comfortable with, and utilise mental health professionals. In essence, I aim is to offer individuals the tools to promote their capacity for self-determination and thus actualise.
